The year so far 2007

All are now where they are supposed to be. Jane and I in Princeton, Polly in Edinburgh, and Rose and Jessica in Ghana somewhere.



We had a wonderful Christmas, but it all seems so long ago now. On the Saturday before Christmas Eve, we went to see mum, in Torpoint. Her flat is nice, and I had a chat with Arthur, who is not v well at all.

After that, on to see the Greens in a stirring 2-2 draw with West Brom.

The rest of Christmas passed pretty much as you'd expect. Loads of food, drink, pressies and the occasional trip into the outside



Jane enjoyed wearing silly hats, and often found it hard to concentrate during the more serious games.

There was some time for wandering around Shobrooke Park, and the odd party or two, but generally all v relaxed.


At the end of the week, the girls set off for the bright lights in London, Jane and her Mum went to Wales and I stayed in Shobrooke for a couple of days. The week ended with Morgan and I spending the afternoon with Charlie Lowe and his son Harry, whom I've not seen for about 15 years. We alternated between pub and the rain and had a lovely time. Harry is terrific--he's just cycled with his brother from St Petersburg to Lisbon, and is about to take off for 6 month s bumming around Asia.

It's all been a bit dull since we got home. Jane and I are trying to shed the pounds, so off alcohol, eating sensibly and not doing very much. We went to the movies and saw Borat, at last....the weather's been incredibly warm (a January day in the 70s!) ...we saw a bloke give a talk about Mozart and mental illness. And we've taken the Christmas decorations down. Backto normal.
